I don't research spouses' parents, though I do make a note of anything a come across while researching the spouses. And of course I do research the descendants who are related to me. I do have a note that James Blues, Farm Servant, Balhall, is among the male Heads of Families listed in the Menmuir Kirk Session minutes, November 8th 1834, but nothing apart from that. I've seen the 1841 census, of course, but only the FreeCEN transcription, not the original, and I didn't make a note of it because neither Anne nor Alexander was present.
