The Alexander Lawson b. 1842 married Barbara Bissett b. 1845 Barbara was the sister of Isabella Bissett b. 1848 who married my great uncle William McKenzie b. 1846 son of David McKenzie and Margaret Millar McKenzie. If interested, I could fill in some information on the Bissett family. I also have Lowsons who married into the McKenzie family but certainly not convinced that they are related to your Lawsons.
