At the United free church Transy, Dunfermline, Parents of Daniel Swankie David Swankie, fisherman, and Isabella Swankie, nee Cargill Parents of Christina McConnell, and Marion Stobo McConnell William McConnell, Railway engine stoker, and Marion McConnell, nee Stobo Witnesses , were William Swankie and Bella Mathie John Mearns, son of James and Catherine Mearns, born 1883, occupation ,Dock Labourer, not on the1881 census, John married Marion Stobo McConnell, he died in the North Poorhouse, of TB, Nov.7,1907,James was 25 and Catherine 19, Daniel Swankie Mearns, born March 22. 1908, father, John Mearns, died , Nov.7,1907,mother Marion Mearns nee McConnell. Marion Stobo Mearns remarried James Rodgers, Marion died 29 April 1922, (heart attack), age 38 in Nilsensland, Bonkle road, Newmains, Parents of Marion were.
