She was the daughter of James Douglas, 2nd Duke of Queensberry and Mary Boyle. She married Sir Francis Scott, 2nd Duke of Buccleuch. The second is within the same line being Lady Jane Scott who was christened on 13 February 1628/29. She was the daughter of Walter Scott, 1st Earl of Buccleuch and Lady Mary Hay.1 A contract for the marriage of Lady Jane Scott and John Hay, 1st Marquess of Tweeddale was signed on 24 September 1644. She died circa November 1688.1 Her married name became Hay. Children of Lady Jane Scott and John Hay, 1st Marquess of Tweeddale. * Lady Jane Hay d.
