Hmm... Mary, the Scottish Genealogy Society would have words to say about that, as for many years THEY were the only genealogy society in Scotland! ANESFHS was one of the early local FHSs, and I think I can say that they remain the LARGEST family history society in Scotland, and have been so for many years (4,600 members last year) Gordon.
