hi Bruce, actually I did find 'my" James Robertson Watchmaker, who died 1845 age 88, but was in fact looking for his children because in his WILL [1845] he only mentioned 2 children of 7, and then 4 grandsons of a deceased daughter...[she died of consumption aged 38] so I wondered if other siblings had also died young of TB. On OPR I got 68 "John Robertson" burials in Dundee between 1800 and 1841.!! I was looking for THOMAS [born 1794], JOHN [born 1801], ANN [ born 1804] and WILLIAM [born 1806] all to James Robertson and wife Margaret Ogilvie Robertson who died before 1808 when James remarried]. this all started for me because ScotlandsPeople put OPR deaths online recently and it is very useful if you know the year. thanks Liz On Apr 11, 2009, at 2:40 PM, Bruce Dorward wrote: > Hi Liz, > > I have just tried the link below and got: > 1.
