While browsing Hawaii history I came across Alexander Adams born Dec 27 1780 in Abroath, although the article lists John Fyfe, Earl of Fyfe born c1754 Arbroath as his father it states he used his mothers surname. Alexander joined the ship Zephyr when he was 12 and by 1809 was in Hawaii by then he was a Captain.
