I buy some of my Scottish agate jewelry from them, now that I don't travel to Scotland. My hubby used to tease me that shopping and travel were my REAL hobby, and genealogy is just a cover. What were "Dorward Coats"? I conclude that this was a brand name but who was "Dorward"? Google brings up a dozen or so specific entries that all seem to refer to the same second-hand garment on offer through e-bay but nothing to indicate who made these or where they were made. Yet in Canada and USA (according to another advertisment that a Yahoo search produced) Dorward Coats were a recognised, saleable brand in the 1930s Can anyone shed a bit of light on who the Dorward of Dorward Coats might be?
