He was born around 1914 in kirriemuir, and he was adopted, unofficially I believe, as a baby; and it was thought his surname was originally "Mitchell", however I'm not certain. He was brought up, by Annie L. Buttar born in about 1875, and Thomas Mollison who was born in about 1874. I know lots about my grandfather's life, but nothing about his ancestry due to this perplexity, and I would be very grateful in finding out all I can.
