If he married in England it will tell you the name of his father. If he married in Scotland it will tell you the names of both his parents. I've had a look at ww.scotlandspeople.gov.uk and there is no matching marriage up to 1933, when the online index ends. Also http://freebmd.rootsweb.com/cgi/search.pl, but nothing there either. So the chances are that he married some time shortly after the end of both indexes. Did he have children? If so, roughly when was the first one born? Anne
