RCVS is the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, founded in 1844 but does not seem to bare any relation to your abbreviation Although a blacksmith might also be involved in animal care, shoeing horses etc, I can't see there being the likelihood of a blacksmith training and being a Veterinary Surgeon at one and the same time, not impossible, just unlikely I would have thought If you haven't looked at the page I would do so to see what it says, also check out any births, marriages and deaths to see what occupations are mentioned Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
