Thank you for taking the trouble to reply. Muckart is a very uncommon surname and there does not appear to have been a time when there were more of us. I have not figured out David Muckart's relationship to me but experience has taught me that all the Muckarts in Scotland are related to each other. They may be a small group but they are all part of one large tree. Most of the info I have on Mary Muckart, your third great grandmother, comes from David Muckart's will. I too could not find anything much on George Beattie, and came to the same conclusion as your self. He appears to have died sometime before 1850.I show Mary as having two children, a son called David, and a daughter called Catherine. Unfortunately this is all I have on her children. I am sure she had more children than this but is all I have at present. I have pencilled in John Muckart and Jean Findlay as possible parents for Mary! but this is just speculation at present. That is very interesting that you mention England as Mary's birth place. Is London mentioned as being connected to Mary's birth place? I am always happy to share info with fellow researchers. Anything you can do to fill some of the gaps would be much appreciated. Grant Muckart Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
