I have some details on John Edward MANN and his parents but last time I replied to "tarves_1" with family connections it was ignored. Don't know who or where you are. Hi Tom The reason your previous post was ignored is that being a board post the person you posted it would not see your reply unless they also were a list subscriber (assuming you replied in the same way last time as you did this) The gc-gateway@rootsweb.com is a non receiving address so will go nowhere With gatewayed postings (which come from the board) you have to post to the board (click the link in the posting) (in this case) http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.britisles.scotland.ans.general/5577/mb.ashx You need to follow that link and post your reply there When you post to the board, your post will be gatewayed back to this list, so you only need to do it once and it will be part of the thread. The poster has not put a contact email address on their profile so you cannot reply internally on Ancestry's system unless you also subscribe to Ancestry, they would however receive your post via the board, it would be worth suggesting to the poster they add an email contact to their profile Best wishes Nivard Ovington, in Cornwall (UK) ----- Original Message ----- From: "Tom Bigley" <tom@bigley.org.uk> To: <gc-gateway@rootsweb.com>; <angus@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, May 17, 2009 12:15 PM Subject: Re: [ANGUS] info about John Edward Mann Angus >I have some details on John Edward MANN and his parents but last time > I replied to "tarves_1" with family connections it was ignored. > Don't know who or where you are. > > Tom Bigley > Edinburgh > > On 17 May 2009, at 09:22, gc-gateway@rootsweb.com wrote: > >> This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. >> >> Author: tarves_1 >> Surnames: Angus/Bedford >> Classification: queries >> >> Message Board URL: >> >> http://boards.rootsweb.com/ >> localities.britisles.scotland.ans.general/5577/mb.ashx >> >> Message Board Post: >> >> Looking for any help tracing information about John Edward Mann >> Angus b:1935.
