The Chalmers family farmed Stoneygroves. My great aunt Annie Chalmers Clark was the last tenant there in our family - she died in the 50s or 60s. She moved from Stoneygroves in her later years to The Cottage in Liff. The last of the Chalmers sons from this branch all emigrated to Australia in the 1920s, Arthur Chalmers and Colin Chalmers, and there are many Chalmers now in NSW and also here in Edinburgh.
