Hello Caroline, This is really interesting. My RENNIE family info.in Scotland is quite limited. All I have is :- Andrew RENNIE, born 1675 at Kinnell, Angus, married to Jean COWPER, born 1675 at Kinnell, Angus in 1694 ? They were my 7X Grandparents. Their children were :- 1. Isobel RENNIE, christened May 23, 1695 at Kinnell, Angus. Isobel married John BRIMS, christened March 23, 1695, [son of John BRIMS of Thurso,Caithness] on August 14,1714. 2. Andrew RENNIE, christened March 4, 1698 at Kinnell, Angus. Andrew moved to Gateshead, N.E. England and married Elizabeth HILLS at St. Marys, Gateshead on Feb. 3, 1716. Andrew and Elizabeth were my 6X Grandparents. After this wedding the name was shown in the records as RENNEY. 3. James RENNIE, christened May 4, 1701 at Kinnell, Angus. Would love to find a marriage and children for James RENNIE but so far nothing. Does he link up with your RENNIE from Kinnell ?
