Just a little information. There was a William Farquharson who died 19 January 1858 in Kirriemuir, age 89, but the death registration only says widower, and gives no wife's name nor his occupation. Finding him on the 1851 census, he was "formerly farm overseer" age 80, b. Eassie. Probably not yours. On the census he had a niece, a widow age 56, named Margaret Wilson, living with him. The informant on his death was a nephew, James Young. I did a little better on David Watson, cattle dealer, and his wife Jane Bowman. They are named as the parents of a Catherine Rattray who died 21 February 1858 in Kirriemuir. Catherine's husband was Henery Rattray, a linen weaver. She was age 43. On the 1851 census Henry and Catherine Rattray were living in Wellgate. He was age 34, hand loom weaver of brown linen, b. England. Catherine was 36, winder of brown linen yarn, b. Kirriemuir. Their children were David, 14, hand loom weaver of brown linen, and Ann, age 9. Both b. Kirriemuir. It seems that I answered a previous query on this family, but all I noted was an e-mail address. If I can read my own writing, it looks like Rattrayk "at" nornet.on.ca Irene, in Michigan **************Dell Days of Deals! June 15-24 - A New Deal Everyday!
