Marilyn, I've looked for Powrie and Innes in all the Dundee cemetaries. There are lots of Powrie's, but none of them match yours. There are only a few Innes's, but again none of them match yours. It's unlikely that we would find the Powrie Children, as they were all born after 1855, and the books are primarily pre-1855, although some later ones do slip through. Sorry I can't be more help. I don't know if you are aware of Powrie Castle - I do know that Mary(Bruinswood) is aware of it. The castle is currently up for sale. You may be interested in having a look while you get the chance. http://residentialsearch.savills.co.uk/property-detail/232655/list/property-for-sale/scotland/dundee/dundee/dd1/0/0/1000000000/10.0/hi/gbp/1 If the link does not work, look for www.savills.co.uk and search for Dundee good luck Doreen --- On Sat, 6/8/11, Marilyn Arnold <[email protected]> wrote: > From: Marilyn Arnold <[email protected]> > Subject: Re: [ANGUS] Logie Burial Ground (Dundee) > To: [email protected], [email protected] > Date: Saturday, 6 August, 2011, 2:54 > And, if your MI book is still out and > you're willing to do other lookups, is there a: > > POWRIE -- Family #1: > John Powrie (1814- > Isobella (Bruce) Powrie (~1811? - > > > POWRIE -- Family #2: > John Powrie (1833-1919) (son of JOhn and Isobella above) > Jane Haddon Innes (1834-bef 1881) > > Children: > Helen Powrie, b. 1859.
