    3. Hello Nick, Not sure if these two DUNCAN brothers are connected to my DUNCAN lines. However, I did have DUNCAN relatives in India. One was Governor of the then Bombay from 1793-1813. There were other family there at the time including a younger brother who died in a shipwreck supposedly in the Calcutta area. Information is sparse on this branch of the family. However, it is possible that younger family members went to India in the period you mention. Do you know from where the two brothers you mention came, please? 3. Ian, Thanks for your message. I think your own Duncans predated mine by many years, and as far as I know mine did not arrive in India until late 19th c. The founders of Duncan Bros were late arrivals too. I think the firm was founded in 1858. I was looking for a Dundee connection but so far had no luck. There must be several ian gammages around the world but I knew one in Vancouver in the mid 70s and thought I would ask if you were him.
