David Potter, coachman, born in the parish of Kinnell, Angus about 1815/19, married Jane/Jean Morrison and had a son William Morrison Potter, born in Friockheim (pronounce it like 'freak him' without the 'h') in the parish of Kirkden on 17 November 1836. William married my relative Elspet Brymer on 2 December 1859 in Brechin, and about 1863 they moved to St Cyrus, where they lived out their lives. They had 13 children, at least 3 of whom died in infancy. William's career was varied, to say the least. He was a groom, farm labourer, gardener, salmon fisher, quarrier and teacher of dancing at various times. I have some information about his descendants, but would be interested to hear from any others. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
