    3. Hello Judith, A distant connection :) I show a Robert Shanks Ross as being born in 1876 & passing away November 11, 1939 in Dundee and although I have never researched him, it seems likely that he may be the son of your Jane & John. Robert was married to Mary Dalziel, born 1879, died 19 August 1949 in Dundee. Mary was the daughter of George Dalziel & Susan Robertson - George was brother to my gg-grandfather Alexander Dalziel (D'All). There is a monument to Mary & Robert in the Eastern Necropolis that also commemorates the deaths of two infant daughters - Margaret 1907-April 12 1910 & Christina 1908-April 15 1910. The inscription reads from our children, so there were more than the two babies but I have not looked into it. 3. Dear Helen: I see your surname and reference to Dalziel, shortened to D'all. Can you tell me more of the D'All/Dalziel family in Dundee? My GG-aunt, Georgina Thompson Powrie married a D'All or Doll. She was b. 1866, Dundee to John Powrie and Jane Haddon Innes. He must not have lived long, as she's found with her father in Dundee by 1901. Ancestry indexed her as Gina P. "Dall." I know she was still using the D'All, Doll/Dall surname in the mid 1910s. I see that George and Susan Robertson Daziel also had a son Alexander, b. ~ 1881; died 8 Feb 1957, Seattle, Kings, WA. Probably named after your Alexander.
