Dear all - I'm still pursuing LYNCHs and have found out quite a bit. Currently am chasing Ann LYNCH born around 1834 in Dundee and her daughter Mary LYNCH. Ann is in the 1841, 51 and 61 censuses in Dundee, in the 61 with daughter Mary, for whom I now have an 1860 birth record for 'Marian Jane Paterson Lynch', illegitimate, daughter of Ann Lynch (the address is the same). Ann then disappears from the censuses, though I haven't found death or marriage records. It's quite possible, though, that she had an informal liason with somebody and so could disappear completely from census records. Mary was in the household of her aunt-by-marriage Agnes Osler or Lynch (wife of George Lynch, who seems to have been away on a boat or some such) in 1871 and 1881, at 3 Crescent Street - and then she disappears. I haven't found likely marriage or death records for Mary. Could she have emigrated? So, this is a plea to aks who has access to emigration records - any sign of a Mary (or Marian or Mary Ann) Lynch, born 1860, appearing from Dundee after 1881? Jenny PS I've now got lots on two other Lynch children born in Dundee in the early days of Irish immigration in 1820s - James and George. Anybody got connections as I've stories to share about them? :)
