I was looking for the Canadian Cannon moving relay team. Found "Scottish soldier" videos and this wonderful tribute. As the Canadians leave Afganistan...I wish them God speed home and keep safe. Does anyone know what has happened to the Gencircles website? It is one of those I peruse from time to time, particularly if I'm adding new information to my trees. However for the last week or so, it has just timed out. For the first few days, the site came up but with an error message and said to try again and, if that didn't work, it would be reported automatically to their engineers. There are 176 Angus Grants in the civil registers of births in Scotland, though admittedly that includes many too old and many still living and/or too young to be the one. The absolute minimum information you need is their Angus Grant's birthday (day and month, and if possible year). The year on its own is unlikely to be sufficient, as there could well be more than one Angus Grant born in any year. A day and month and an approximate year would be better. When you have that information you can go to www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk, invest in a few credits and search the birth indexes for a matching Angus Grant. Then you can start looking for his ancestors and relatives. HTH Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Hi Ernie, I see that you list Oram as one of your surname interests. I have a John Hutcheon marrying a Catharine Oram on 07 December 1792. Any connection?
