    3. I think you have a good idea. Over here the quality of research really runs from unsubstantiated to pretty professional. When I talk with genealogists from England most all are on at a very high level of professionalism. They know how to document and chart.... They impress me. So, if you go over there, they will teach your high standards. One caution. Their record structure is quite a bit different than ours and some can struggle developing the skills to get into our records. BUT, I like to have someone over there do the documentation.     3. Hello Heather, It was definitely a part time program, as I work full time. This one would not be correspondence, but I'm also looking around at that type of a program based out of the UK. The one I attended was oriented in large part to USA research, inevitably of course, but I'd like to find some UK education in genealogy. Mine didn't move to the USA until 1954, although I have been finding some related lines that did go to North America much earlier than my direct line. The IHGS is one I was looking at also. I am now awaiting the arrival of the marriager certificate for my great grandfather (Bills father) but what I have found out so far is that my grandfather had 9 brothers and sisters, Frank (who also had a son Frank, still on island), Sid, Vic, Tom, Steve (we think moved to mainland and played trumpet in a band), Edie, Eve (married an army man) , Daisy & Bett (married a navy man). One other brother moved to mainland but we are not sure who as yet.
