Dear All I recently received a request which was recommended to our group by the Italian Embassy. We are receiving recognition as last! It is a very complicated story and I will write exactly what I received : It is from Lance Skinner of Leicestershire who explained : I was a child orphan refugee brought over to the UK after WWII where, subsequently as the result of an accident I suffered severe amnesia. Now, as memories slowly return, I am trying to better understand my early childhood. I have a recollection of a family of French origin in Europe (circa 1945) : MASSA (maison Regnier) I would be very pleased it you could help me find the names of the wives and children of : Alexandre-Aldred-Andre Regnier, marquis de Massa (born 1905) Ernest-Francois-Philippe Regnier, comte de Massa (born 1910) during/at the end of the war. It appears that the male line of the family is listed as extinct in the latest copy of the Almanach de Gotha. [He enclosed a copy which stated the Massa de Carrara is a province in Tuscany] If you are unable to assist me I would be very pleased if you could put me in touch with any organization, except private genealogical societies, anywhere; who might be able to help Debretts/Burkes and the International Red Cross are all unable to assist.
