Dear Brian Thanks for that helpful e-mail, I will come back to you on this, as I am really stuck with it, - this is my problem Brian, I can find no record of a marriage - otherwise I would be laughing ! and feel that maybe there was no marriage at all, although I find that unlikely in our family. But with an Italian name like that I am just wondering if he may have been a catholic, but even so, it should still have been transferred to the St Catherine's records (now the GRO), as this is well after the 1837 timeframe. Somewhere along the line I must get some information I am sure. Cheers for now Eunice
