I am trying to do some research for a Michela Porzio, who lived in Meta,Italy prior to 1893.I'm trying to familiarize myself on the location of Meta.Michela, arrived in theUSA,6-29-1893.She departed from Naples.Does anyone know how to obtain any records of Michela's family, or her birth?

First have a look in www.familysearch.org for records for that area.Look up your nearest Family history centre and then you can request to see the microfilm for the years you are interested in and copy the birth, death, and marriage records from the microfilm.
