Hi Listers I am researching my gr-grandfather, Amilcare Domenico Andrea PERUTELLI. He was born abt. 1853/54 in the Carrara area. He was a master mason in marble (statuary) and immigrated to England in the early 1880's. He lived around the Chelsea/Kensington area of London. My problem is that I can't pin down his exact place or date of birth. I can't find him on the 1881 or 1891 censuses although I know he was here in 1891 as he had three daughters around this time. He doesn't appear on any passenger list indexes and he didn't leave a will! Does anyone have any ideas on how I could research possible places of work in the Chelsea area where he may have continued his trade in the 1880's and 1890's? I have written to Massa-Carrara for birth and military records with no luck so far. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks Jane
