Gaetano Reali was married in Ireland to Christiana McCarty in 1755, and to Elizabeth Riordan in 1763, according to Irish records. Both marriages were in the Church of Ireland (Protestant). He is said to have been born in Rome (no date) and to have died in Ireland in 1773. The only records for the Rome birth and the 1773 death are notes on a family tree. There is also a document lodged with the Soc of Aust Genealogists saying the family is of Italian descent. I am a bit suspicious of Rome as place of birth, because another ancestor of mine said to have been born Copenhagen on one document came from a small town in Sweden on another. Supposing Gaetano did come from Rome, is there any way I can start looking for a birth (baptism) record? Thanks for any help' Gwenda Charlson -- http://fastmail.fm - Click it, you'll feel better
