    3. Thanks once again Felicia - A person from the 'other' Italian List alerted me to the same names and I'm happy to tell you that a friend of mine who is fluent in Italian drafted three letters for me to the names you mentioned below. They are already in the post with sae and I'm hoping for a reply! They all seem to live at the same address but wih different phone numbers. My Italian speaking friend also mentioned that the variant EROTY is Hungarian and that during some revoluntion in Hungary around the late 1840's, I think it was, many Hungarians migrated to the Naples Kingdom in Italy. I wonder if the Hungarian lot Italianized their names to EROTTI? Also, through Ancestry.com (and a subscription I didn't realise I was making!!!)& Familysearch.org I found Neil EROTY on a Census record - he was listed as an Iron Maker, single, and birthplace Ireland. I thought that this was a stretch, but who knows! I also found similar sounding surnames = James EROUGHTY - what a mine field I am in, eh! Another EROTY - James, G married a Caroline SPENCER in Michigan in 1847, aged 27. I found them in the 1850 Census in a nearby town and is shows he was born in New York. I need to find sks who has access to New York Census records - any clues? I mention all this to you, and obviously the list, hoping that someone can see something I can't and point out the clues. You know how it is when you look at something for so long, find another clue but none of it seems to belong. Thanks for your attention Felicia, and your help.
