Many thanks Retha for that information - I bet I will be in the same boat as you then, if everything else I have tried to track for my grandfather is a pointer ! but I will try it anyway. I realise that I will not get anything from the PRO website, but at least I will know where to look - that's the trouble, being online spoils you, as it is such a help to people like us living 12000 miles away from Kew, they seem to think its so easy to get there and look up the records !
