Can anyone tell me from which region of Italy this name may originate? Looking at the current surname distribution in Italy for BIASETTI, it is mostly in Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Piemonte. Unfortunately it is not very rare, so it's hard to pinpoint a particular town or district. To see the distribution, just put the surname (cognome) into this site: http://www.gens.labo.net/it/cognomi/ This is one of several useful sites linked from the Anglo Italian Family History Society's website links page at http://www.rootsweb.com/~ukaifhg/docs/links.html .
