    3. Hi Christine Don't forget to tell your niece that the Italian church is not open all the time. Obviously it is on Sundays and usually they are cleaning it early morning on Sats. Best to phone for info before making the journey. Nearest underground station is Farringdon, just a short walk from there. Not much left of the Italian quarter though it's nice to wander through the little streets and alleys to get the feel of the place. The Italian school is no longer there but the building was on the corner of the street near the church - well, the building is there (or was last time I went there) but not the school. When is your niece coming over - in mid July there is the Italian procession on a Sunday which is really great to see. The Society will have a stall there and visitors are welcome.
