Patricia, if you go to the Anglo-Italian Family History Society's website http://www.rootsweb.com/~ukaifhg/index.html and type Galli in the search engine, quite a few references for Galli come up, as well as Calli, Galley and other near spellings, in the pdf censuses that are on the site.
