I looked in Ches BMD for marriage using soundex on surname and found the following:- 1898(no date) Walter FERRENICE to Harriet Ackerley St Lawrence's Frodsham, Cheshire Central district ref 125/3/400. A copy of the marr. cert could reveal where he was born and was living at the time etc. I will go and have a squizz for Harriet and get back to you asap.
