    3. Hi Kay, my rellie never got as far as US, he ended up in Liverpool. However, your info re book on Ellis Island is very interesting. The reason is many Aussies were descended from Irish convicts. Once the people were transported out here, the rest of their families feared authorities and headed to US. It split families who were never to meet again and is very, very sad. I know of many people who would love to know what happened to the rest of their ancestors. I've only recently joined AIFHS, how do I get my copy of the latest Italian Roots? With thanks and warmest regards. 3. Hi guys, could someone help me please. How do I find the shipping lists of passengers who left Italy for England around 1860? The reason I ask is like a lot of our members, the name of my ancestor was written by an English official on arrival and of course was wrongly spelt. The name took more translations in future weddings, births etc and I am stumped as how to find the correct spelling. I thought perhaps it would be noted when leaving Italy by an Italian immigration official would have spelt it correctly. There is no point in scrolling through Italian records as I have no idea what name to look for!! Your help much appreciated. Tina ----- Original Message ----- From: "Elaine Collins" <ecollins@wca.co.uk> To: <ANGLO-ITALIAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Monday, June 28, 2004 5:02 AM Subject: Re: [Anglo-Italian] Procession Hi Sarah, Patricia and everyone, I think we're fully manned at the stand, but very much hope everyone will come by. The main way that people can help is by sending me photos of groups of Italians that we can get enlarged. Last year we had a pic from an outing from the Coach and Horses pub in the 1930s, and some pictures of a New year's eve celebration, and a school photo, and people were coming up all day to tell us who they recognised and they brought other people to the stand to show them, so this is a definite draw. If anyone can post or email pics to me, I can take care of the rest. Can you all make sure you've got the right date, as it was posted wrongly on the website, and I think perhaps in the journal (my fault). It is **Sunday 18 July**. We'll be setting up from about 10am. You can attend mass at St Peters in the morning if you want a chance to look inside. The procession itself is in the afternoon - can't remember if it's 2pm or 3pm - can anyone else confirm? But the stands are up and people congregating all day. As last year, we'll have some cake and prosecco at the stand after the procession - at about 4pm, so if you're still around then, make sure you come back for the party! Hope to see many of you there.
