He was born in 1876 in Hobart Tasmania to Charles Andrews and Alice (nee O'Connell). Charles was born in New York state about 1840 and went to sea at an early age. He ended up in Sydney Australia where he died in 1895. His father was James Andrews a farmer. I know nothing else about the family in America, but I assume he had brothers and sisters there. I would love to hear from anyone who thinks they know of my Ransom Andrews and his family. Janeen
