Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wm.2ADEB/3007.1 Message Board Post: Do you have any information on the children of Roland Andrews? Was he ever in Georgia? I am probably grasping at straws here but I am trying to locate a Mr. Andrews (his 1st name is unknown) who is believed to have died in the Civil War. He married a Mary Elizabeth Whaley from Polk County, Georgia sometime prior to 1858/1859. They had 3 sons...James Rollen/Rollin/Roland Andrews in 1859, George Alan Andrews in 1860 and John Harris Andrews in December 1861. The oldest 2 boys were born in Arkansas and the youngest in Wise County, Texas. Rollen/Rollin/Roland is a family name. It was passed down to several generations. Mary Elizabeth Whaley Andrews was a widow who remarried in 1869 to James Love Blewitt who was approx. 30 years older than her. Mr. Blewitt died by 1879. Mary Elizabeth is buried in Flat Rock Cemetery in Wise County, Texas. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Kathie Sarchet [email protected]
