In any case, my grandfather's name was Hadley Jackson Andrews; my father's name was Adam Jackson Andrews; and my name is Michael Jackson Andrews. I've always wondered where the "Jackson" came from; I had assumed it was a carry-over from a family name, but never had any information to go on. I hope this doesn't muddy the waters too much.
Michaell I have been on tahis list for a long time and from what I understand and is true i;n my branch of Andrews, the middle name of the eldest son as a rule has the mother's MAIDEN name as the middle name of , again, the eldest son. This seems to be prevelent across the country, along with being a VERY CLOSED mouth familly about background on familly. I do not knowwhy , in your branch that 3 generations have the same name and the mothers maiden names haven't been Jackson. You might want to find out what your grandfather's wife<paternal that is> maiden name was, that would be the start again considerning the family tradition of the Andrews family as a whole. Just an; interesting tid bit of info Lynne Andrews-Giles<very little sleep and still looking for info on my branch> ----- Original Message ----- From: <michael.andrews@lmco.com> To: <ANDREWS-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, April 18, 2003 4:49 PM Subject: [ANDREWS-L] Re: Andrew Jackson Andrews born 1834, Alabama > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/Wm.2ADEB/576.663.2 > > Message Board Post: > > Hi, > This subject sounds interesting, but it may not have any relevance to me at all. > In any case, my grandfather's name was Hadley Jackson Andrews; my father's name was Adam Jackson Andrews; and my name is Michael Jackson Andrews.
