Do you happen to know the naming pattern of your John Andrews? I have tried the colonial naming pattern where the first son was named after the father's father, the first daughter named after the mother's mother etc. Did that happen in your Andrews line? this might be a breakthrough for both of us. Hi all It also a VERY common trait among the Andrews<in the US that is> to have the first born son to have the MOTHER'S maiden name as the middle name. Sorry for being "stuck" on this but have been on the list for several years now and have found this to be so v ery true. Even true in my branch of theAndrews familly <from Worcester Mass. Doesn't seem to be affecdted by being in the north or south. The first names I have observed to be rather prevelant are as follows: Thomas, John Peter, Mathew. These seem to be the most common to the point of being confusing . Just adding a tidbit of info discovered over the years.
