Cornelia: This is just great! In only a couple of days I am in contact with two others who seem to be searching the same family! I knew about the Jacob Andross in the King's District tax list, but didn't have the information from the 1790 census. I have a copy of Jacob Andrews will listing the children and the burial information. I thought they were buried in Canaan, but you have it as New Lebanon. I believe my sister and I tried to find that cemetery when we were there in April, but weren't able to. We did so much running around in the few days we had. Looking for cemeteries, checking court house records, visiting historical societies. We did end up making back and forth trips, finding something in one place only to see a mention of a place we'd already been. A lot of fun, though. I wish I could go back now, with all this new information from you and Sharon! Please tell me where you got the information on Jacob Andrews born 17 Nov. 1723. It very likely is my man, isn't it.
