My maternal grandmother, Lydia Caroline "Callie" CHEEK(daughter of Jonathan and Lizzie CHEEK of River Road in Moore County in NC) married my grandfather, Manuel Whitfield ANDREWS (son of "Doc" James ANDREWS of Davidson County NC) around 1920. Manuel had 3 children by first wife (Margaret, Bill, and Flora). Manuel and Callie had 5 children: Edith Lenora (m. my father, Bill TRENT of Patrick County, VA), Mildred, Anette, Ethel, and James Franklin. I would particularly like to discover what happened to Flora ANDREWS. The last trace I have of her is on the 1930 census for Rockingham County, NC, when she was 12 years old and living in Spray. Other family members will not discuss her, so I really don't have any more information than that. My grandfather Manuel ANDREWS died of TB around 1935, so I have wondered if perhaps she also contracted the disease and later died of it.
