cornelia 2 questions. do you show any evidence of any of your people coming south in the late 1600's or early 1700's? I pick up a John Anders in Bladen county NC in about 1754 or so. He may have come there from Dorchester county Md. While in Bladen and later they used many versions of the Name Andrews including Anders, Andres, Andress, Andrews, Andrus, and Anderson. Do you have any evidence on anyone Marrying into the Schoonmaker family that also had problems with their name in Ny. Names included Schoonmaker, Shoemaker, Shumaker, Shumacher etc. Thanks Kay Russ Andress
