    3. Hi Tina, The URL where you found the court records is my Web Page. A group of us, including Sue Gill who answered you earlier, did an extensive study on this Andrews line a year or so ago. I transcribed a tremendous amount of Mecklenburg Andrews records at the Library of Virginia. We have not determined the exact relationship between David Brooks and Ann Brooks, but feel there is a close one. William Andrews, son of Williams Andrews and Ann Brooks, died as a young man, without issue. You will find a section on him, which includes his will and estate, on my Web Page, close to the bottom of the same URL you mentioned earlier: http://members.cox.net/wi4k1/andrews.htm. There has been lot of research done on the descendants of Varney, but I have nothing on the descendants of David. Do you, Sue? Tina, do you suspect that you descend from David Andrews, son of William & Ann? 3. I was the one that started the lengthy conversation after I found the will at the Library of Virginia in December of 2000. This is when I realized that there were descendants in this will who were not named in anyone's family tree for William and Avis. I passed the will onto Sue, and she pursued more research into it. I am curious about this David because My ggg grandfather Thomas Andrews owned land very near to the William (Avis) owned in Namozine District of Dinwiddie County. This land is still in my family. He named his two sons David Thomas Andrews and John Nathaniel Andrews. My cousin Nell Collins, who is a member of this list also, and I have been stuck for a very long time on our Thomas Andrews, who married Mary Tatum Belcher in 1822. Her parents were John Belcher and Mary Unknown of Chesterfield County. There is also a David Andrews who owned land in Dinwiddie County in 1799. We wonder is this is the Same David Andrews, who was the son of William Andrews and Ann Brooks. 3. The only information I had about any David (other than in that will) was concerning a David Andrews, who m. Elizabeth King in Brunswick Co. I found that some people who descend from this couple claimed to be descended from William and Avis. In other words, the David mentioned in William's will. According to my Brunswick Co. marriage book, David Andrews who married Elizabeath King was the son of a John Andrews. I know that there were another Andrews families living in that county. I made contact once with a man who descended from David and Elizabeth. He had his line connected to William and Avis. I mentioned the information in my marriage book. He was going to check more, but I never heard back from him. I can not promise that the marriage book is correct, but I do know that other Andrews families lived in Brunswick Co. that seemed unrelated to ours.
