She lived life with total commitment to her church, family and an evergrowing list of friends. An open heart and an open door were her trademarks. Doris was born on Capital Hill district of Seattle to Louis and Androniki Sterios, both immigrants from Greece. Her schooling began at Lowell Elementary and she continued on to Broadway High and graduated in 1937. Doris continued on to the University of Washington. In addition to being a homemaker-par-excellant, she immersed herself in the service and support of the Greek Orthodox Church of the Assumption for most of her life. Guild President, chairman of church bazaars/festivals, and many one-time events. Doris continually expressed her unconditional love and involvement in the lives of both family and friends. The Greek Church is where Doris met her life's love Paul Andrews a recent disabled veteran of WW II. They married on 11/7/42 and raised two boys Lou and Dean Andrews in the north end of Seattle. In the early 1970's she began working for Red Carpet Travel and this would result in a new adventure and many new friends. Soon Doris was applying her skills so she could enjoy more trips to Greece and else where with her Paul. Her husband Paul, her sister Mary as of late, preceded Doris in death. She is survived by her oldest son Lou Andrews and granddaughter Stephanie; Dean Andrews, daughter-in-law Mary Andrews, and grandchildren Sarah and Leah Andrews.
