ANDREWS, born about 1790 in New Haven, Connecticut. He married Nancy A. Stuart in Rensselaer County, New York. She was the daughter of James [Jeremiah?] and Dolly (Kindle [Kendall?]) Stuart of Massachusetts. Samuel was a carpenter and joiner, and served in the War of 1812. He came by way of the Erie Canal to Orleans County in 1826, settling in Medina, and later in Carlton. He was killed "by the falling of a block which was thrown from a window” between 1831-41. Samuel M. and Nancy A. (Stuart) Andrews were the parents of ten children (5 sons, 5 daughters), of whom all but three survived to adulthood. The information I have on their children is as follows: (a.) Jeremiah S[tuart?]. b: 15 June 1818, NY; m. Jerusha Elsie Blood abt. 1842; d. 29 January 1898 in Genesee Co., Michigan. (b.)
