The family of Stephen Pate who married Honor Sweeney and the Stephen S. Pate who married Rebecca Randle all moved into Carroll Co. and Weakley Co.,McKenzie,TN in the 1830's, along with their children. There was two Richmond Love Pate's; one an Uncle and one a nephew. There is a booklet called "Search for Myself" that has this Pate line in it. You can contact the library there in McKenzie,TN; its written by Barbara Elaine Clark. Richmond Love Pate was my Grandmother's Grandfather, he was born in 1827 to Stephen and Rebecca Randle Pate that married in Richmond Co.,NC but were both orginally from Virginia.
