    3. If I am reading this correctly, there is only one David. Thomas, immigrant. His son: William (m. to Avis). Their son, William, m. to Ann Brooks. Their son, mentioned in the will: David Andrews. Is this the line-up that you had in mind? William (m. to Avis) called his daughter-in-law Ann Brooks. After a lot of digging, we decided that Brooks was probably her maiden name, since later on when one of Ann's sons died, she was still Ann Andrews. I am also interested in finding more about this David. Some people have him connected to a family in Brunswick Co, but as I recall, there was another family in that county that had a son named David. I was never able to get any further with that puzzle. Would love to hear if you find anything. 3. I was the one that started the lengthy conversation after I found the will at the Library of Virginia in December of 2000. This is when I realized that there were descendants in this will who were not named in anyone's family tree for William and Avis. I passed the will onto Sue, and she pursued more research into it. I am curious about this David because My ggg grandfather Thomas Andrews owned land very near to the William (Avis) owned in Namozine District of Dinwiddie County. This land is still in my family. He named his two sons David Thomas Andrews and John Nathaniel Andrews. My cousin Nell Collins, who is a member of this list also, and I have been stuck for a very long time on our Thomas Andrews, who married Mary Tatum Belcher in 1822. Her parents were John Belcher and Mary Unknown of Chesterfield County. There is also a David Andrews who owned land in Dinwiddie County in 1799. We wonder is this is the Same David Andrews, who was the son of William Andrews and Ann Brooks. 3. Sue, I'm sorry ... let me start again. I got myself confused before I got the letter sent. In the will of William, who married Avis, there is a son William and his wife Ann Brooks, who had a son named David. There are court records I found at this website regarding David mentioned: http://members.cox.net/wi4k1/andrews.htm how were David Andrews and David Brooks related? Does anyone know if the family tree of Ann's BROOKS family has been done? At a Court held for Mecklenburg County on Monday the 11th of May 1772 Andrews to Brooks p. 190 An Indenture and Memorandum of Livery & Seizen thereon Endorsed David Andrews to David Brooks was proved by the oaths of the Witnesses thereto subscribed and Ordered to be Recorded. Mecklenburg Co, VA Deed Index 8 Aug 1796 David Brooks to Ingram Pines, 9-122 12 Jun 1780 Thomas Brooks to John Grainger et all 6-50 12 Nov 1774 John Brooks to Dinwiddie Crawford & Co 4-1360 13 June 1768 Thomas Brooks to John McNeill 2-82 13 Mar 1769 Robert Brooks to Murphe William 2-174 11 Mar 1773 David Brooks from David Andrews 3-387 Does anyone have the descendants of William, David and Varney ... the sons of William Andrews and Ann Brooks?
