Hello List, I'm trying to find some information on my G-Grandfather, John G. ANDREWS. I find him and wife, Lilly May SMITH ANDREWS in Story Co., Iowa where they are living and have my Grandmother LaVera ANDREWS (BANKS, married name), with brothers Ralph and Lowell and other siblings. It states that his father was born in Ill. and his mother born in Ohio. I have been told John George ANDREWS was born in Iowa in the year abt. 1875. I also have been told that his family was from CT. and some moved on west.. I can't seem to get a handle on him, does any of this sound like someone you are researching? If so please let me know. Thank You for any help you can give me. Sandee genelistmom@yahoo.com --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? SBC Yahoo! DSL - Now only $29.95 per month!

Hello, I am seeking any and all info you may have on William Henry ANDREWS, born 1811 in Georgetown, D.C. I have info from his 1832 marriage and later, but need info on siblings, parents, etc. The family may or may not have been from D.C. I am searching in D.C. and surrounding states. At some point in time I believe that I communicated with someone on this list who had connections to Camden, SC. I have come across 2 copies of a hand drawn rendering of the bridle paths about Camden, SC. They are not dated but I would guess about the late 1800's to early 1900's. Not necessarily accurate to scale, but interesting just the same. If some one would like one of these copies please let me know and I will be glad to share. Nancy English Heil nancyheil@camden.net

Cornelia: This is just great! In only a couple of days I am in contact with two others who seem to be searching the same family! I knew about the Jacob Andross in the King's District tax list, but didn't have the information from the 1790 census. I have a copy of Jacob Andrews will listing the children and the burial information. I thought they were buried in Canaan, but you have it as New Lebanon. I believe my sister and I tried to find that cemetery when we were there in April, but weren't able to. We did so much running around in the few days we had. Looking for cemeteries, checking court house records, visiting historical societies. We did end up making back and forth trips, finding something in one place only to see a mention of a place we'd already been. A lot of fun, though. I wish I could go back now, with all this new information from you and Sharon! Please tell me where you got the information on Jacob Andrews born 17 Nov. 1723. It very likely is my man, isn't it. I am going to post this to the list, I had sent this information to Barbara. Barbara's Content Andrews m. Joseph Chapman. One of their children was Roswell Russell Chapman. The name Roswell was particularly interesting. At the same time that these Andrews were in Chenango Co., so was a Theophilus Andrews. He had a son Roswell Andrews. Rosewell had sons Ransom Rathbone, and Harlow Roswell. And then if you go to Samuel from my previous email (Samuel the son of John) he had a Hiram Ransom. I think all of these Andrews have a connection. Since I cannot find that they are brothers, they could be cousins, nephews, uncles. And oh yes, then there is Lucy. You find Lucy throughout the Andrews families. Any help is greatly appreciated. I have been trying to solve these Andrews mysteries for years.
