Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/Wm.2ADEB/948.1022.2 Message Board Post: Phillip Andrews was indeed murdered in 1898. His son, Lucian was my grandfather and my dad his youngest son. I may also have a photo of your great great grandmother. Ada was responsible for caring for younger siblings Hattie, Rosa and Claud. My sister and I are working on the family tree and will be happy to share information. Please share yours so we can fill in missing pieces. We would like to put together some type of publication with photos and stories as well as records. The murder of Phillip was only one of a couple of ugly things to happen to the family and was considered taboo and never discussed until I happened upon the story some time back. The Andrews family were reputedly a rough bunch at the turn of the century. Of course, you had to be in order to survive. I look forward to hearing from you and others who may have information.

We have confirmed that information. He and Marian Frances Brantley were married and had Ada, Rosa, Hattie, Claud, Semme, Lucian and three other children whose names escape me at the moment. My sister and I are currently working on the family tree and would love any information you can share. We will be happy to share ours. Most all of the above children have been buried in Baldwin County. Lucian was my grandfather, and my dad his youngest son. Please contact me via email.

His son is Richard Andrews married to Martha Ashurst, Then the line descends down to Joseph Monroe Andrews married to Catherine Queener, James Calvin Andrews married to Minnie Irick, Charles Owen Andrews married to Effie Wilson, and Lloyd Andrews married to LaMaude Botts after 1935.
