Does anybody have information on John C Andrews who lived in Hillsboro, Rock Twp, Jefferson Co, Missouri in 1870. He was born about 1840 in Effingham, Carroll Co., New Hampshire to Daniel S. and Lydia Andrews. The 1870 Census shows him as a physician with wife Matilda, and children Jennie, and Texas. There is a son John who was born in 1870, apparently after the census was taken, and a daughter Mabel A. who was born in 1877 in Maine and married Lewis M. Mann. I am guessing that John C. Andrews died somewhere between 1877 and 1880 but have been unable to find his death notice or burial place. Thanks for any help, Ginger

Mo. and Mary Ann Hudson, b abt 1825 in Tenn. They married in 1843 in Howard Co. This family is on the 1850 Howard Co. Mo. census pg 164 living next to Elijah Andrews and his wife Sarah Hudson Andrews. I believe that Elijah and John were cousins and Mary Ann Hudson and Sarah Hudson were sisters. John and Mary Ann Andrews children on census were Eliza, b 1843, Wiley b 1845, and M. J. (Martha) b 1847, all b in Mo. In 1860 John and Mary Ann Andrews were in Randolph Co. Ark., Columbia Township page 342. Children listed were Wiley 14, Martha 10, John H. 9, and Mary E., age 1. Their daughter Eliza had married William Mansker and they were also there in Randolph Co. Ark. By 1870 John and Mary Ann Andrews had moved back to Howard Co. Mo. They were on census in Richmond Township pg 438. Children listed Willie 21, John H. 18, Mary Ellen 11, Nancy 8, and Joseph Newton age 3. Mary Ellen, Nancy, and Joseph all born in Ark. John Andrews died sometime before 1880 in Howard Co. Mary Ann is on the 1880 census, listed as a widow, with children Nancy E. 17, and Joseph N. age 14. This is Chariton Township in Howard Co. on page 349D. Living next door is John H. and Ida B. Andrews and two daughters, Mary E. age 2, born in Ark. and Annie L. age 3 months, born in Mo. In 1900 John H. and Ida B. Andrews were in Richmond Township page 150A. Children were Henrietta 17, Joseph R. 14, Maudie W. 12, John F. 10, James D. 8, and Gentry age 5. I have not been able to connect John H.'s father, the John Andrews born 1823 in Missouri to the other Andrews famililes there in Howard County.
